Our Selection & Hiring Process

Phase One: Applicant Pre-Screening
Resumes received from applicants that meet the qualifications of a vacant position will be contacted by a Human Resources Representative to conduct a preliminary telephone interview. Following the preliminary telephone interview, the Human Resources Representative may proceed to the next phase of the process, which is a preliminary in-person interview.

Phase 2: Preliminary In-Person Interview
The preliminary in-person interview is typically conducted at a local Comtech Group office by a member of our Human Resources team, who will evaluate a broad spectrum of non-technical skills, as well as some technical skills & qualifications pertinent to the specific employment position. Following the preliminary in-person interview, the Human Resources Representative may proceed with recommending the applicant for the next phase of the hiring process, the in-person technical interview.

Phase 3: In-Person Technical Interview
The in-person technical interview is typically conducted by an applicable Technical Manager or Project Manager, who may be directly responsible for the oversight of the position itself. In this interview, the applicant’s technical skills and qualifications will be assessed, and technical testing may be administered depending upon the position. Following the in-person technical interview, the Technical Manager or Project Manager may proceed with recommending the applicant for the next phase of the hiring process, the verification of professional references and credentials.

Phase 4: Reference & Credential Verification
Our Human Resources Department will request applicable professional references, and perform verification of the applicant’s education and/or professional designations.

Phase 5: Final Decision & Employment Offer
The Human Resources Representative will collaborate with the applicable Technical Manager to make a final decision. In the case where the applicant is successful, the Human Resources Representative will notify the applicant of a pending offer of employment.
